Business Analyst Intern

The Business Analyst Intern will support the GBPO team by creating and improving automation solutions, reports, and dashboards that enhance operational efficiency, data visibility, and decision-making. The role involves gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and delivering scalable data and reporting solutions that support business objectives. Ideal candidates are analytical, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about using data and technology to solve problems and improve processes. Automation Development & Support Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of automation solutions that improve operational workflows and reduce manual effort. Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing automation tools, scripts, and process solutions. Monitor automation performance and troubleshoot issues as needed. Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend automation enhancements. Dashboard & Reporting Development Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reports using approved reporting and visualization tools. Create automated reporting solutions that provide timely and accurate business insights. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across dashboards and reporting assets. Support the creation of executive-level reporting and performance scorecards. Data Analysis & Process Improvement Perform data analysis to identify trends, operational issues, and optimization opportunities. Assist in validating data quality and investigating discrepancies. Support continuous improvement initiatives through process mapping and root-cause analysis. Develop recommendations based on data-driven insights. Required Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Basic understanding of business process analysis and workflow documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio. Familiarity with automation platforms such as Power Automate, UiPath, Alteryx, or similar technologies. Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Experience with Python, VBA, or other scripting/programming languages. Understanding of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
