About The Role
The Sr. Analyst, Inventory Accounting ensures inventory costs are properly accounted for, inventory management controls are consistently complied with and risks associated are timely assessed and managed. This post will partner with key stakeholders to attain inventory management metrics and goals. The role will extend support to US. Act as the main contact person for DAX system set-up, inventory and costing related concerns. Aid in the development of informational and reporting tools, provide financial and business support to management, operations & other internal customers. Provide key inputs to the FP&A team for KPI reports/forecast, cost analysis and AOP process Participate on month-end closing activities assisting the team on cost allocation and analysis. Scope also includes: review & analysis of inventory related transactions and reconciliations, posting of journal entries as well as sending out of reports to intended recipients within agreed timeline. Work with department owners to assess inventory exposures and prepare necessary reserves. Constantly update reserve calculation assumption on a regular basis. Accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, margin and cost analysis. Check accuracy of revenue and cost account postings as well as the proper roll-up to the Profit and Loss report. Lead the team on Balance Sheet reviews by providing key insights on inventory movements, raising concerns on inventory level risks and recommending counteractions Participate on P&L management review focusing on Revenue and COGS accounts. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and project implementations to create/enhance a broader depth and range of analytical and business support capability Act as Super-user in DAX inventory accounting system Comply with SOX audit requirements by driving adherence to identified controls. Constantly review processes to assess any changes on both key and non-key controls. Lead preparation and updating of SOX related documentation. Liaise with auditors on inventory, cost allocation and L&OH related matters Support ASC management on ad hoc requests Qualifications Education: Degree in Accounting or any related Business/Finance Course Experiences, Skillsets & Personal Competencies 5 to 7+ years overall experience in Finance and Accounting with strong background on Inventory and Costing.
