POSITION TITLE :SYSTEM ANALYST I REPORTS TO : SA Lead DIRECTLY SUPERVISES : N/A UNIT / DEPARTMENT : ITG - Change the Bank DIVISION/GROUP : Office of the Chief Operating Officer JOB SUMMARY The System Analyst I possesses a solid understanding of information technology systems, business processes, and software development. He/She has gained proficiency in programming languages, operating systems, and hardware. They can effectively analyze existing systems and propose improvements, as well as bridge the gap between technical requirements and business needs, ensuring that IT systems support the Bank’s objectives. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Builds and reviews Functional Specifications for large-scale scope; Translates business requirements into functional/non-functional and software product design. •Understands the design of the product and evaluates if it aligns with Business Requirements and solution. •Creates process flow/prototypes as required; Creates user stories and diagrams/workflows. •Develops Data Mapping documents and identifies gaps, impact, and risks. •Mentors Junior System Analysts; Reflects on and improves behaviour. It is accepted and understood that the employee may perform other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time. Has relevant agile methodology certifications e.g., certified Scrum master, certified Scrum product owner, certified Scrum developer, PMI agile certified practitioner.2 – Working Knowledge Software development effort estimation Understands key concepts and frameworks in effort estimation (e.g., Function point analysis, COCOMO, Delphi, Planning poker, Story-points estimation). Understands tools for calculating estimations in early design phases and detailing/updating this in later design stages.2 – Working Knowledge Innovative methods (e.g., design thinking) Understands most common innovative methods. Has practical experience in process design and requirements definition with innovative methods, e.g., with design thinking.2 – Working Knowledge CMMI Knows methods of the capability maturity model integration (CMMI) maturity model.
