Test Manager I

About the Role The Test Manager is accountable for planning and coordination of software quality testing. S/He is responsible for the planning, preparation, development and coordination of simple to medium complexity tests to verify if SBC's IT solutions meet functional, performance and scenario quality metrics. How you’ll contribute Plans, coordinates and ensures execution of software quality tests according to SBC quality standards and policies; Collaborates with Technology Delivery Managers, Engineering teams, System Analysts and other relevant stakeholders to define and plan all required test activities; Creates a thorough testing strategy at the beginning of each project that determines the overall trajectory of testing on the project; Creates and updates the Test Plan, Test Strategy, and Test Estimates. Defines the testing activities for (Junior/Senior) Test Analysts; Work with Test Leads and (Junior/Senior) Test Analysts to ensure test execution is on time and within scope and quality; Supervises, mentors and coaches (Junior/Senior) Test Analysts; Updates Project Managers, Technology Delivery Managers and Test Leads regularly about the progress of testing activities; Prepares the status report of testing activities Develops and maintain test cases to ensure comprehensive testing of the requirements using approved test tools; Ensures traceability of test cases back to requirements Ensures that the team has all the necessary resources to execute the testing activities, and that all defects are documented, tracked, managed, and escalated as required; Supports defect triage as required; Monitors, measures and controls test efficiency and quality, and aligns required adaptation with relevant stakeholders Develops and ensures maintenance of test documents such as but not limited to Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Data, Test Evidence, and Datasheets for automation in the document repository What we’re looking for Strong test management skills: experience leading and managing testing and quality assurance activities and teams, and be able to effectively plan, organize, and manage test resources. Leadership and mentoring skills: lead and mentor a team of test analysts including external and internal resources, and be able to effectively manage their performance in software tests Strong technical skills: good understanding of different technology systems and be able to work closely with technical teams to ensure that projects are delivered to the required quality standards. Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall Knowledge of testing methodologies, techniques and best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test Automation, and Continuous Testing Knowledge of test management tools and software, such as HP Quality Center, JIRA, and TestRail Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit About Security Bank Security Bank is one of the Philippines’ best capitalized private domestic universal banks.
