Credit Officer - Commercial Banking (Bacolod / Cebu)

POSITION : Enterprise Risk Manager (ERM) / Enterprise Risk Specialist (ERS) REPORTS TO : Enterprise Risk Evaluation Division – Team Head (ERED – TH) DIRECTLY SUPERVISES : N/A UNIT / DEPARTMENT : Enterprise Risk Evaluation Division (ERED) DIVISION / GROUP : Commercial Banking Group / Wholesale Banking Segment JOB SUMMARY The Enterprise Risk Manager (ERM) / Enterprise Risk Specialist (ERS) prepares Credit Proposals through credit evaluation according to the Bank’s policy on an assigned account and recommends appropriate facilities structures. He/She identifies the inherent risk surrounding the account and provides mitigants if necessary. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Analytical and Critical Thinking Joins the ComBank TH/RM/ERM Head in client calls and conducts interviews with ocular inspection to determine the risk profile of the borrower/ client. Effective Communication Skills Prepares credit proposals with all the information gathered from external and internal checkings Joins the Relationship Manager in presenting/justifying the loan package for Credit Committee Meeting approval Financial Analysis Prepares financial evaluation, which forms part of the Credit Proposal, based on data gathered to determine capacity of the client to pay Ensures that financial analysis is based on reliable/validated financial statements adhering to validation policy Processes and recommends a scorecard based on the latest financial statements in Optimist or in Excel for individual borrowers or Camelot as the case may be Governance, Control and Risk Management Keeps himself/herself updated with Credit Policy and its revisions/enhancements to ensure compliance with Bank’s credit and governing policies Ensures that CPs are sent to Independent Risk Assessment (IRA) Team for accounts that are within IRA scope prior to approval of ALA and replies to IRA were indicated prior to SCC presentation Ensures that proposals presented to the approving authorities are in order in terms of completeness, accuracy and form Responsible for uploading Credit Proposals in the shared folder of Credit Responsible for uploading Excel-based scorecards (and Camelot) in the shared folder of Credit Planning and Organizing Coordinates with the Relationship Manager on the proposed package/submission of documents/scheduling of client visits/queries regarding the account, and present the account to Credit Committee (CRECOM) meeting It is accepted and understood that the employee may perform other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
