POSITION TITLE : FINANCE SPECIALIST – GENERAL ACCOUNTING REPORTS TO : GENERAL ACCOUNTING HEAD DIRECTLY SUPERVISES : N/A UNIT/DEPARMENT : FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING & CONTROL DEPARTMENT DIVISION/ GROUP : FINANCE JOB SUMMARY The Finance Specialist – General Accounting shall assist the General Accounting Head in managing and processing all financial transactions related to the Company’s payables, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, handling discrepancies, and maintaining financial records to uphold compliance with internal policies and external regulations. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Review, verify, and process invoices in a timely manner. 2. Ensure accuracy of billing information and compliance with company policies and procedures 3. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies among requesting units and other involved units as needed. 4. Maintain organized files of invoices, payments, and relevant supporting documentation. 5. Generate accounts payable data and perform necessary analysis to identify and recommend process for improvement. 6. Assist in the preparation of month-end closing activities 7. Collaborate with internal teams and other departments to address and resolve payment-related inquiries. 8. Prepare accounts payable reports such bank recon, TAT Monitoring, etc. 9. Support audit processes by providing schedules, documentation and addressing inquiries. 10. Continuously seek process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function 11. Provide support for management and statutory reporting requirements. It is accepted and understood that the employee may perform other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Years of Work Experience: 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or financial analysis; exposure to corporate accounting practices is desirable Educational Attainment/ Required course ( if applicable) : Bachelors’ Degree/ College Required Certification/ Professional License ( if applicable ): Certified Public Accountant Preferred Field of Specialization ( if applicable ): Finance/Accounting/Banking Knowledge and Skills Requirement : · Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. · Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems such as, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. · Strong problem-solving abilities and abilities to identify discrepancies. · Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. · High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
