Remedial Officer (Late Collections Unit)

About the Role As a Remedial Officer is responsible for handling remediation of Mortgage Loan accounts, gathering information about the delinquent borrowers, and performing collections actions with the goal of debt payment collection or foreclosure of the borrower’s collateral. The purpose of this role is to monitor hardcore Mortgage Loan accounts and to resolve cases in an optimal way, to meet performance standards. How you will contribute Perform Collections activities on delinquent accounts (90+) Evaluates clients’ request for restructuring, extensions and amendment of approved terms and find an optimal resolution. Escalates qualifying cases to the Calling and Remedial Team Leader for resolution (uncontactable client, client not cooperating, etc.). Consolidation of document requirements for filing of Notice of Buyback, Foreclosure, and ROPA booking Coordinates with Internal/External Legal Team and Mortgage Business Group to ensure compliance with the executed Memorandum of Agreement/Deed of Undertaking between the Developer and the Bank. Monitors activities and efforts in achieving targets for composite flow rates, past due rates, and other performance metrics, and propose methods to increase performance related to the metrics. Ensures that external units perform collections actions in compliance with SBC Accredited Collections Policy and Memorandum of Agreement. Generates reports reflecting performance (Foreclosure, doc def, buyback etc.) for business and operational review by the Mortgage Collections Team Leader and Unit Head. Issues written warnings to external units for every instance of a valid complaint and keep track of all issued warnings to respective service provider. Monitors Memorandum of Agreement between the Bank and the Service Providers for yearly renewal. What we're looking for With at least 3 years of work experience in Collections Knowledge of bank’s products and processes, BSP Circulars related to collections particularly Circular 857- Consumer Protection Framework and industry practice in Complaints Management Strong time management skills: Multitask Oriented; Organized Excellent eye for details Strong people management skills.
