Independent Domestic Violence Advocate Post

Grade 5- £35520- £38739pa The London Borough of Havering is seeking a committed and experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to join our Community Safety Service. This is an important role supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse who are assessed as being at high risk of harm. Working within a multi-agency framework, including Havering’s Domestic Abuse Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference, you will provide proactive, practical and emotional support to victims, helping them to increase their safety and access the services they need. You will act as a key point of contact for victims, advocating on their behalf, supporting safety planning, and working closely with partner agencies including police, housing, children’s and adults’ services, health, probation, voluntary sector providers and specialist domestic abuse services.
