Effective engagement has never been more important to policing and West Midlands Police are extremely fortunate to have one of the greatest assets possible to support us in this mission.

West Midlands Police Museum, as it is today based on Steelhouse Lane, opened in April 2022. Since this time it has gone from strength to strength in attracting visitors both locally, nationally and internationally.

Through this incredible building, its contents and staff, we seek to use the policing heritage of the West Midlands to build trust and confidence in West Midlands Police and improve the public perception and understanding of policing.

As we seek to mature and develop the opportunities of the Museum’s offering, we will be looking to seek out new and innovative ways to share stories and information about how policing has evolved, celebrating pioneers and shared histories. We have a wealth of incredible assets at the WMP Museum and therefore we need a skilled and experienced Museum Collect
