Streetcar Technician I

STREETCAR TECH 1 -salary $25.05 hourly

responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on streetcars and light rail vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This position requires a entry level technician who, under the supervision, can diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and repair or replace parts and systems as necessary. This position performs all required preventive maintenance inspections, check defect reports and creates corresponding work requests, prepares and maintains vehicle and facility inspection records and reports and work orders, make routine mechanical repairs and adjustments, such as but not limited to defective lights, body damage, interior damage, and operating defects. The Streetcar Tech I plays a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and reliability of the streetcar fleet and systems.
