About The Role
What You'll Do
- Bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and flexibility to a dynamic hospitality environment.
- Develop, manage, and grow business within assigned market segments to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, associations, sports teams, tour operators, government agencies, and group business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership to develop sales strategies that increase occupancy, ADR, and overall revenue.
- Create and promote seasonal packages, special promotions, and targeted marketing campaigns to drive business during need periods.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and community organizations to strengthen brand awareness and generate new leads.
- Ensure all daily sales operations are completed efficiently while maintaining compliance with hotel, brand, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of market trends, competitive activity, and local economic conditions to identify opportunities for growth.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration with General Managers, department leaders, and hotel teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Participate in sales meetings, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive sales experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proven ability to develop new business, manage key accounts, and consistently achieve sales goals.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality sales practices.
- Familiarity with sales and marketing tools, CRM platforms, and lead generation strategies.
- Knowledge of the local market and business community is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to interpret operational documents, policies, procedures, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local attractions, events, and community resources that support hotel sales efforts.
