Staff RN, Cardiac Surgery

The Cardiac Surgery Registered Nurse functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team of care providers who reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm and mutual respect. The Cardiac Surgery Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating across the continuum of care for cardiac surgery patients. Clinically this includes managing patient navigation through the outpatient clinic, the operating room, pre/post-surgical care, the ICU, the hospital floors, and any communication across telephone, email, patient portals, or any other form of Stamford Health approved communication. Administratively this includes coordinating patient documentation, pre/post-surgical prep and education, booking appointments and pre/post surgical testing, answering phone calls, and other duties as assigned. Monday through Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm flexing to clinic hours
