Mechanical Supervisor – Essential Services
Are you an experienced mechanical tradesperson with strong leadership capability and a practical, hands-on approach?
KRSP is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to provide technical support, supervision and direction to our Essential Services planned maintenance crews. This is a supervisory, field-focused role responsible for overseeing mechanical maintenance activities, supporting service crews, and helping ensure reliable delivery of essential services across remote communities.
This is a Broome-based role, and the successful candidate must either currently live in Broome or be willing to relocate.
About the Opportunity
The Mechanical Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of planned, preventative and emergency mechanical maintenance services.
This role requires someone who can manage competing priorities, respond to urgent field breakdowns, and provide practical technical guidance to service crews. The successful candidate will be flexible, organised and confident managing multiple operational tasks in a remote service delivery environment.
You will be responsible for
- Providing technical support, supervision and advice to service crews
- Overseeing daily mechanical activities for planned, preventative and emergency maintenance servicing
- Undertaking and preparing asset condition inspections
- Preparing schedules, status reports and quotes
- Ordering and managing spare parts
- Providing technical training, mentoring and leadership to service crews
- Providing on-call support to field employees in accordance with the on-call roster
- Supporting remote monitoring systems, including data acquisition, programming and development where required
Location and roster
This is a residential role based in Broome, Western Australia.
The successful candidate must either be based in Broome or be willing to relocate. From Broome, the role will support essential services operations and field crews working across remote communities.

Essential Requirements
- Mechanical trade certificate
- Experience supervising, leading or mentoring trade-based employees
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fault diagnosis
- Experience supporting planned, preventative and emergency maintenance activities
- Ability to provide practical technical training and support to service crews
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prepare schedules, reports and quotes
- Ability to provide on-call support in accordance with the on-call roster
- Full Australian working rights

- Experience working with power generation, water or wastewater systems
- Experience working in remote or regional locations
