About The Role

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, develop and execute multicolor flow cytometry panels, in vitro functional assays, and in vivo pharmacology studies independently to support both in vivo and in vitro pharmacology programs.
  • Independently design and execute assays, including assay development, optimization, qualification (when required), sample analysis, data analysis, and preparation of study report and SOPs.
  • Develop and implement murine modeo support target and MoA validation.
  • Analyze and present experimental data using Prism, Excel, MS Office or similar software, and present findings to cross-functional groups.
  • Maintain detailed records of studies in electronic lab notebook (ELNs).
  • Keep up to date with published literature related to therapeutic targets, disease biology, and mechanisms relevant to Janux programs.
  • Train and support junior team members to design, manage and execute complex experimental studies.
  • Produce detailed documentation of experiments within a lab notebook and electronically.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external CROs to ensure successful study execution and delivery of project milestones.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize workload effectively within a multi-task environment.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacology or a related discipline with at least 3 years of drug discovery experience, MS+ 10 years of drug discovery experience, or BS+ 12 years of drug discovery experience in an industry setting is required.
  • Strong expertise and hands-on experience with multicolor flow cytometry panel development, cell-based functional assay is required.
  • Experience with assay qualification and validation, including flow cytometry panel and bioanalytical assay (PK, ADA and Nab), is preferred.
  • Strong understanding and prior experience working in oncology, immunology, and immune-oncology, with hands on experience in murine model development and associated sample analysis, is required.
  • Experience working with external CROs (due diligence, oversight, project management, data review, and reporting) is desirable.
  • Competence in data analysis tools (Excel, GraphPad).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-pace environment.
