About The Role

As an Expert Android BSP Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of next-generation automotive infotainment and cockpit platforms. Working within a cross-functional Agile team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing Android Board Support Package (BSP) software for embedded automotive systems.

Major Accountabilities

  • Design and develop Android applications for automotive infotainment systems, incorporating user interface (UI) designs, functionality, and performance optimizations.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and software architects to implement intuitive and visually appealing user experiences in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive-specific regulations, protocols, and standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability with industry-standard communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet for reliable data exchange and functionality.
  • Utilize Android framework APIs and libraries to access system resources, hardware peripherals, and platform features for developing robust and feature-rich Android applications.
  • Implement and adhere to Android coding standards and best practices to ensure compatibility, performance, and security of Android applications.
  • Establish and maintain continuous integration and continuous development (CICD) pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment of Android applications.
  • Develop Android applications using Android Studio IDE and Kotlin programming language, leveraging modern development tools and techniques for efficient and productive software development.
  • Utilize enterprise architecture tools such as Enterprise Architect to model, design, and document software architectures and system designs using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
  • Collaborate with system architects and stakeholders to create and maintain architectural artifacts, diagrams, and documentation to support development activities.
