About The Role
Specialist, Project Accounting Reporting & Analysis (PARA) will support in the Project accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, deep attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data to support business decisions.
- Perform project accounting activities and ensure accurate financial reporting for projects.
- Review, validate, and consolidate project revenue.
- Drill down into project cost items and validate accuracy and completeness.
- Work with stakeholders to compile financial forecasts including project revenue, costs, job profit, indirect costs, and depreciation.
- Perform variance analysis of actual versus forecasted revenue and costs and identify key drivers for variances.
- Leverage Oracle Fusion for project accounting, reporting, and transaction processing.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Perform FLUX analysis and provide meaningful business insights.
- Prepare revenue accrual schedules and record journal entries.
- Prepare cost accrual schedules and record journal entries.
- Review project costs and, in collaboration with Project Managers, prepare project cost and revenue schedules.
- Assist in external and internal audits.
- Ensure all audit, regulatory, and compliance reporting requirements are adhered to.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- MBA (Finance) or CMA certification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Proven experience in project accounting, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience working with Oracle Fusion.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience using Power BI and other reporting and analytics tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to deep dive into financial data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative working style and ability to work across multiple geographies and with a distributed workforce.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
