Wastewater Lead Plant Mechanic

The City of Grand Junction is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Plant Mechanic to join our Wastewater Team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing the mechanical systems and equipment that support the City’s wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities, experience working with pumps, motors, valves, and SCADA systems, and a commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork. This position leads daily maintenance activities, supports preventative maintenance programs, coordinates with vendors and contractors, and helps ensure the continuous operation of essential public utilities infrastructure.
