Transportation Aide/Driver- Motor Service LIFE, Per Diem

Responsible for “Door through Door “escorting participants being transported by LIFE on the Transport bus or van. Delivering medications, medical equipment, food, or other supplies as needed. Accompany participants on medical specialist visit, when necessary, responsible for the safe operation of a vehicle transporting 7 passengers or less weighing under 10,000 lbs., as needed. Assumes responsibility for communicating and/or delegating patient care to Transportation Manager, designee, or IDT.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate/ GED. 1 year working with the frail or elderly. Valid NJ Driver’s license, proof of insurance and have a reliable means of transportation as described in Fleet Policy # TR 118. Required to obtain CDL Class C license with passenger endorsement with 100 days of hire. Will not operate a vehicle before license has been obtained and driving safety competencies have been completed. Maintain a Safe driving record, as per fleet safety policy guidelines.
