Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsible for managing the day-to-day production from the Telecom filter group. Areas of responsibility include testing, wavelength tuning and shipping. This includes building to procedures, focusing on productivity, performance to production schedules, cost savings and producing quality parts at or above targeted yields. Monitor WIP (Work-In-Progress) and inventory levels to ensure quality parts are manufactured at high productivity rates. All manufacturing processing is tracked accurately by utilizing the MES (Manufacturing Execution System). Participate in daily meetings to coordinate efforts among manufacturing lines: engineering, sales, scheduling and customer service. Manage a team of Manufacturing Technicians including the staffing and training, cross training, development and appraisal of the workforce. Manage the schedule for Production team to manufacture on customer orders, and deliver product within required time frame.
