Safety Specialist

The Health & Safety (H&S) Specialist is responsible for effectively leading the implementation and execution of the company’s H&S Strategy at the sites, placing a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and proactive measures. Leads and drives a progressive approach to H&S by sustaining or enhancing local practices, processes, tools, and training programs needed to ensure total effectiveness of the area’s H&S management system. Actively engages and works with management and employees at the terminals to leverage cultural changing elements of the H&S program, while engaging the workforce to create and sustain a H&S culture that continuously strives to achieve zero injuries and losses within the sites. Supporting management, recommending and taking appropriate action to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. All other duties as assigned by management.
