About The Role

  1. HSE Strategy & Compliance
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Egyptian legislation and international HSE standards
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Act as the main advisor on HSE matters to management
  1. Operations & Risk Management
  • Oversee day-to-day HSE operations across the facility
  • Identify hazards, conduct incident investigations, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain and enhance HSE management systems
  • Monitor safety performance and ensure adherence to procedures
  1. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly HSE reports and KPIs
  • Monitor safety statistics, incidents, and compliance levels
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting aligned with company requirements
  1. Training & Safety Culture
  • Design and deliver HSE training programs
  • Promote awareness and build a strong safety culture across the organization
  • Lead HSE engagement and incentive programs
  1. Sustainability & Environmental Management
  • Integrate sustainability into HSE practices
  • Drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact and resource consumption
  • Monitor sustainability KPIs (waste, energy, carbon footprint)
  • Ensure full compliance with environmental standards
  1. Team Leadership & Projects
  • Supervise and develop HSE team (direct & indirect reports)
  • Support project teams on HSE matters and ensure safe project delivery
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and best practice implementation

Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)

Experience

  • 10+ years of HSE experience in industrial/manufacturing environments, 3 of them progressive managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems (OHSAS/ISO)
  • Familiarity with Egyptian safety regulations
  • Experience in incident investigation, audits, and reporting

Certifications (Preferred/Required)

  • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent
  • ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Internal Auditor (preferred)
  • Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation training
