QA Engineer ATM

About the role We're building our ATM project from the ground up - and quality needs to be there from day one. You'll be the first dedicated QA on a brand new team, responsible for establishing testing practices, defining quality standards, and ensuring the product is stable as it evolves. This is a rare opportunity to shape QA culture on a greenfield project in a fast-growing fintech.

What you'll work on

• ATM frontend testing - user interface and device interactions
• Backend services - transaction flows and APIs
• Test automation frameworks built and owned by you
• End-to-end quality coverage across a microservices-based architecture

What you'll be responsible for

• Design, maintain, and execute test cases for ATM frontend and backend services
• Perform manual and automated API testing using Java/Kotlin and Postman
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks and suites
• Propose and refine test strategies ensuring coverage across all components
• Collaborate with developers, system analysts, and DevOps to identify and resolve defects
• Provide clear defect documentation and analysis of test results
• Estimate testing efforts and report risks or blockers to QA leads

What we need

• 3+ years of experience in QA Engineering or a similar role
• Solid programming skills with understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns
• Experience building or maintaining test automation frameworks
• Strong API testing experience - manual and automated
• Familiarity with microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Experience with Kubernetes and GitLab CI/CD
• Strong communication skills and ability to document complex bugs clearly
• Willingness to relocate to Manila, Philippines - mandatory requirement
