Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on furniture.
- Assemble new equipment or parts according to specifications.
- Install components and ensure proper functionality before deployment.
- Conduct detailed inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns.
- Test repaired or serviced furniture to verify performance and compliance with standards.
- Track and manage parts inventory for repairs and maintenance.
- Order replacement parts and maintain accurate records of usage.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors or management.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while working in the shop.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist internal teams or customers with technical questions and equipment issues.
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs efficiently.
- Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and repair techniques.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance shop efficiency and service quality.
- Clearly separate foam, cardboard, and plastic to create recyclable materials.
- Maintain and manage associates and their weekly schedules, ensuring adequate staffing coverage.
