Temple Clothing Supervisor

To ensure the success of temple operations and patron experience, the Temple Clothing Supervisor is to supervise the work and schedules of the clothing team to provide clean and well-cared-for temple clothing and other linens supplies for temple patrons. The supervisor will oversee the budget and ensure that an adequate inventory of clothing is maintained to temple standards. This position reports to the Temple Recorder.

• Maintain clean, well-kept clothing and linens to temple standards.
• Supervise, train, and schedule employees and volunteers for laundry operations.
• Manage clothing inventory and provide an annual replacement plan.
• Monitor supply levels of chemicals and coordinate with vendors.
• Optimize resources to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations within budget.
• Operate and oversee use of commercial laundry equipment (sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding, etc.).
• Use computer tools for training and communication.
• Implement and follow safety procedures.
• Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the temple recorder.
• Member of the Church with a current Temple Recommend
• Three (3) years of relevant experience (supervisory, commercial laundry, customer service etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective communicator, results-driven, detail-minded, organized and capable to work under tight timeline and pressure while delivering meaningful results
• Be able to lift 30lbs. (23 kg.), stand for long periods, bend, kneel, stoop, pull, push, and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced and meticulous work environment.
• Fluent in Cantonese, Chinese Mandarin, and English is preferred for communication.
• Flexibility in work schedule (including working on Saturdays, public holidays, or evenings)
