Software Engineer

What You'll Do

• Build new features across our microservices architecture.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Participate in code reviews and write automated tests.
• Improve the applications and services you work on.
• Contribute to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Troubleshoot bugs, analyze production issues, and help improve system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Share knowledge with teammates and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI tools where appropriate to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving, while applying sound engineering judgment and maintaining ownership of your work.

What You'll Bring

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with server-side technologies such as Spring, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and modern version control workflows.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity when appropriate, while demonstrating strong engineering judgment, critical thinking, and ownership of the final solution.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SaaS applications and product development.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS) and Heroku.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Redis or similar caching technologies.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
