Research Assistant

A full-time research assistant is sought to support data collection and analysis for birth cohort studies investigating the long-term consequences of preterm birth on neurodevelopmental, cognitive and behavioural outcomes. We collect biosamples, brain MR imaging, and longitudinal follow-up from a group of preterm infants and healthy controls from birth through early childhood. The post-holder will assist at the following stages of the research pipeline: biosample collection, scheduling appointments, supervision of children undergoing brain MRI, collection of neurodevelopmental and cognitive outcome data at 5, 7 and 10 years, and data entry. The study is funded by the charity Theirworld and the UKRI Medical Research Council.
