Job Description

SCOPE: An Ultrasonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, patient care, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. The Ultrasound Technologist must operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sonography
• Active ARRT certification in Radiography required
• Active Radiography certification through the LSTRBE required
• Active Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Active BLS CPR required
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of diagnostic medical sonography equipment and procedures
