Junior Risk Management Officer

Atdomco · Luxembourg

Junior LevelExternal listingfull-time14 days ago

About The Role

Risk, without the fund-factory feeling

We are an independent AIFM boutique, founded by a seasoned real estate asset manager and now scaling up as a third-party specialised AIFM. That means small team, real ownership, and a front-row seat on every fund we manage.

If you are early in your career, ambitious, and want to grow your knowledge exponentially rather than incrementally, keep reading.

What you'll do

Reporting directly to the Conducting Officers, you will help manage and oversee the risk profile of complex Private Equity, Fixed Income, Real Estate and Fund of Funds portfolios.

  • Act as the risk subject-matter expert in the onboarding of new funds, including initial due diligence.
  • Identify, measure and monitor market, credit, liquidity, operational and ESG risks across the funds under management.
  • Analyse and challenge complex risk models, and translate that analysis into concrete risk decisions and strategies.
  • Contribute to the assessment of investment and divestment opportunities.
  • Help build, evaluate and refine our risk management processes, systems and sustainable investment policies.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc risk reports for the Conducting Officers and the Board of Managers, flagging any deviation from the risk framework.
  • Contribute to the drafting and updating of the AIFM's policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Help develop and integrate automated solutions that streamline risk monitoring, reporting and analysis.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients and for fund service providers, including the depositary and central administration.
  • Stay on top of the economy, global markets and the fund regulatory environment through continuous research.

Who you are

  • You have a first professional experience in the fund industry.
  • You bring solid technical knowledge of risk management and regulatory frameworks, with a working understanding of the Luxembourg fund industry and AIFMD.
  • You are analytical, numerate, and genuinely good at solving problems.
  • You read professional agreements, fund documentation and economic briefs without flinching.
  • You communicate clearly and work well in a team.
  • You are detail-oriented and manage your time well.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and take initiative.
  • You are curious about automation and AI as ways to make work better.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Real Estate, Private Equity, Fixed Income or other alternative funds.
  • Experience with or appetite for sustainable investment.
  • French or German.

What we offer

  • 360° exposure to the alternative fund industry, with a real scope of responsibility from day one.
  • A personal development plan with dedicated mentoring, external training and industry events.
  • A young, dynamic team working with international, entrepreneurial clients and counterparties.
  • An evolving remuneration package based on achievements.
