Construction Foreman

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead field crews and work hands-on across residential, multifamily, renovation, addition, new construction, and light commercial projects throughout the Lancaster, PA area.
This is a field-focused leadership position for a skilled construction professional who can manage daily jobsite operations while working alongside the crew when needed. The ideal candidate has a strong carpentry or general construction background, leads by example, and takes pride in maintaining safe, organized, and productive jobsites while delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside field crews on residential, multifamily, renovation, addition, new home, and light commercial projects.
- Manage daily jobsite activities to maintain schedules, productivity, quality, and safety.
- Coordinate crew assignments, materials, subcontractors, and day-to-day field operations.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and field instructions.
- Perform and oversee carpentry and general construction work as needed.
- Communicate with company leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and other field personnel to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Assist with project startup, site organization, inspections, punch lists, and closeout.
- Identify and resolve jobsite issues before they impact project schedules or quality.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
- Travel to project locations generally within approximately one hour of Lancaster, PA.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Foreman, Working Foreman, Carpenter Foreman, Lead Carpenter , or similar field leadership role.
- Strong background in residential construction, multifamily renovations, remodeling, additions, new home construction, and/or light commercial projects.
- Hands-on carpentry or general construction experience.
- Proven ability to lead crews while remaining actively involved in field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, jobsite safety, quality control, and field coordination.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to reliably travel to jobsites throughout the Lancaster area.
- Comfortable working full-time in the field; this is not an office-based, hybrid, or remote position.
