At Blue Stone Health & Wellness, we are actively seeking dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienists to join our expanding team in rural healthcare. Responsibilities/Duties
- Atmosphere: Be able to exhibit a calming and amiable presence to reassure patients and establish a sense of comfort.
- Screenings and Health History: Must be able to perform oral screenings and assess patients oral health histories while identifying potential oral health conditions such as gingivitis, cavities, or periodontal disease.
- Dental Cleanings and Examinations: Administer comprehensive dental prophylaxis and oral examinations for patients spanning all age groups, encompassing scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, X-rays, as well as the application of sealants and fluoride, alongside other pertinent procedures
- Patient Education: Need to be able to instruct patients on optimal oral hygiene practices and preventive strategies.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a RDH preferred but not required
- Physical stamina to meet job demands
- A resourceful, “can-do” attitude with a heart to serve others and lead by example
- In-depth knowledge of dental health, oral hygiene, and periodontal care
- Proficiency in computer usage, including dental charting systems
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a steadfast dedication to delivering patient-centered care.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g, OSHA)
Work Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) preferred but not required
Licensure/Certification
- Valid Dental RDH License in California
