About The Role

Responsibilities

  • AI implementation across engagements
  • Support the rollout of approved AI solutions across existing contract management engagements and contribute to implementation planning for new engagements.
  • Work with engagement leads, legal subject-matter experts and operational teams to identify, prioritise and define practical AI use cases.
  • Translate business and legal requirements into clear workflow designs, user instructions, acceptance criteria and implementation documentation.
  • Provide hands-on support during pilots, user acceptance testing, deployment, training and post-launch optimisation.
  • Own clearly defined prompt-development, testing, documentation and implementation workstreams with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Apply sound judgement to routine contract management and AI-quality issues, while seeking review for novel, material or high-risk matters.
  • Deliver accurate, well-structured work to agreed timelines and communicate risks, dependencies and progress clearly.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior legal professionals, engagement teams, technology specialists and client stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability and a practical improvement mindset in a fast-evolving area.

  • Legal prompt and content design
  • Create, test and refine prompts grounded in commercial contracting principles, client playbooks and engagement-specific requirements.
  • Develop AI-enabled approaches for contract review, clause extraction, issue spotting, risk flagging and deviation analysis.
  • Design prompts and templates for contract summaries, executive summaries, obligation summaries, negotiation drafts, proposed redlines and fallback positions.
  • Create and maintain playbooks, clause libraries, decision trees, review guidance, structured outputs and other reusable legal knowledge assets.
  • Explore and prototype additional contract management use cases as new needs and ideas emerge.

Quality assurance and responsible use

  • Build representative test sets and evaluate outputs for legal accuracy, completeness, consistency, usability and alignment with approved playbooks.
  • Document prompt versions, test results, known limitations, escalation points and required human-review steps.
  • Identify hallucinations, unsupported conclusions, inconsistent outputs and other failure modes, and adjust prompts or workflows accordingly.
  • Apply the firm's requirements relating to confidentiality, data protection, information security, client permissions and responsible AI use.
  • Escalate high-risk legal, regulatory, confidentiality or technical issues to the appropriate senior owner.

Engagement and user support

  • Act as a practical point of support for legal teams adopting AI-enabled contract management workflows.
  • Prepare user guidance, prompt instructions, examples, training materials and knowledge articles.
  • Gather structured feedback from users and stakeholders and convert it into prioritised improvements.
  • Support troubleshooting and distinguish prompt, process, data, configuration and user-adoption issues.

Knowledge management and continuous improvement

  • Maintain a reusable library of approved prompts, playbooks, templates, test cases, lessons learned and implementation standards.
  • Share effective practices across engagements while respecting client confidentiality and information barriers.
  • Track emerging AI capabilities and recommend relevant experiments within the firm's governance framework.
  • Contribute to repeatable delivery methods that make future AI implementations faster, safer and easier to scale.

Essential Criteria

  • A legal education or equivalent practical experience in commercial contracts, contract management, legal operations or legal services delivery.
  • A strong working understanding of commercial contract structures, common clauses, risk allocation and contract review processes.
  • Experience translating legal or operational requirements into clear, structured instructions, templates, playbooks or workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including the ability to test outputs systematically and identify inconsistencies or unsupported conclusions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders, priorities and client-specific requirements.

Preferred Criteria

  • Hands-on experience using generative AI or large language model tools for legal, contract management or knowledge-management use cases.
  • Experience with prompt design, structured outputs, AI evaluation, user acceptance testing or legal technology implementation.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management platforms, document review tools, workflow automation or legal operations processes.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, data protection, confidentiality and information-security considerations in legal services.
