Insurity’s Next Senior Developer

Insurity’s next Developer will build and deliver product customizations, integrations, and data pipelines on our cloud insurance platforms—turning carrier requirements into reliable, well-tested solutions. You’ll work end-to-end with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Analysts to scope, design, and implement features that will expand our product value to our customers.

The ideal fit is a consultative, ownership-minded engineer who communicates crisply, thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment, and enjoys mentoring teammates while raising the technical bar.

What Our Senior Developer Will Do

• Own routine development items from inception to completion
• Reviews work of other developers
• Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes
• Design solutions to problems/defects independently
• Participate in team design sessions for large scale development
• Able to understand and develop use cases to supplement business cases for technical development items
• Follows Insurity standards for coding, documentation, and impact assessments
• Provides in-depth technical troubleshooting and defect remediation for reported problems requiring a high degree of technical expertise
• Develop technical documentation for software solutions for targeted audience, which may include external customers
• Develop solutions for moderately complex problems and enhancements individually or leading a small team
• Estimate projects and solutions of simple to moderate complexity
• Write code and unit tests according to Insurity standards, following an approved technical solution, for moderately complex enhancements and bug fixes
• Develop unit tests for code changes and assigned use cases
• Work with QA to identify impact and assist with test case development
• Implement and test complex business rules
• Create scripting for application configuration functions in support of customer projects
• Able to comment code
• Create an impact assessment doc
• Prepare and present a technical solution e.g. with PowerPoint
• Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading
• Other duties as assigned

Who We’re Looking For

• 3-5 years’ experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)

We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps. Along with the benefits listed above, the career level salary range for this role is $77,000 to $141,000 . We share a career level salary as a guideline; however, actual salary may vary based on your experience and qualifications.
