Student Worker Data Analytics

Dunwoody is seeking a Part-Time Data Analytics Student Worker to support our team with building and maintaining Power BI dashboards , performing basic data analysis, and assisting with ad hoc data-related tasks. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience using data to support decision-making in a real-world environment.

The student worker will work closely with staff to translate questions and requirements into clear, accurate, and visually effective dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain Power BI dashboards
• Import, clean, and transform data using Power Query
• Apply basic DAX calculations (measures, calculated columns)
• Ensure dashboards are accurate, well-organized, and user-friendly
• Respond to feedback and make iterative improvements
• Assist with testing dashboards and verifying data accuracy
• Document data processes, definitions, and workflows to support transparency and continuity.
• Support small, ad hoc data requests from staff
• Help organize datasets, files, and report documentation
• Learn and follow data governance and privacy practices
• Attend meetings to understand reporting needs

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in: Web Programming & Database Development (CWEB) or related computer field
• Experience with or coursework using Power BI
• Comfort working with data in Excel (formulas, tables, basic analysis)
• Basic understanding of data concepts (rows/columns, joins, metrics)
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage small tasks independently
