About you
Parser is seeking an experienced FHIR Integration Engineer to lead the design and implementation of CMS-0057-F compliance APIs. This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in Da Vinci FHIR standards and production-grade healthcare system integration. You will own the architecture and delivery of mission-critical APIs that connect payer systems with provider workflows in a regulated, high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement CMS-0057-F compliant APIs including CRD (Coverage Requirements Discovery), DTR (Documentation Templates & Rules), and PAS (Prior Authorization Support)
- Architect multi-API systems with shared decision engines and pre-screeners, defining clear service boundaries and integration patterns
- Build and maintain integrations with core payer systems including claims/benefits platforms and utilization management (UM) systems
- Develop REST wrappers and manage end-to-end endpoint integration work
- Design real-time routing logic for point-of-order requests into shared backend systems
- Ensure all implementations meet regulatory requirements and production-grade reliability standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate provider-facing channels and payer backend systems.
Required Qualifications
- Da Vinci / FHIR Implementation Expertise: Hands-on experience building and shipping production CMS-0057-F compliance APIs (CRD, DTR, and PAS) using FHIR R4 standards
- Payer System Integration: Proven track record connecting to core claims/benefits systems (e.g., Facets, Zyter TruCare, or equivalents) and utilization management platforms.
- Provider Channel Experience: Experience integrating with provider-facing channels such as Availity, ProAuth, or similar platforms.
- API Architecture & System Design: Demonstrated ability to own technical design of complex, multi-API systems with shared backend logic and decision enginers.
- Production Environment Experience: Track record designing for regulated, high-availability production environments (not prototypes or proof-of-concepts.
- End-to-End Ownership: Comfortable owning REST wrapper development and endpoint integration work from concept through production deployment
- Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, regulatory requirements, and payer operations
