Job Description
The Miscellaneous Labor position is a versatile, hands-on role designed to support operations throughout the plant. Team members are assigned where needed based on production demands and staffing requirements. Responsibilities may include operating machinery, loading trailers, assisting machine operators, moving materials, maintaining work areas, and supporting various manufacturing processes.
Employees in this role receive cross-training in multiple departments to provide operational flexibility and ensure coverage across the facility.
Miscellaneous Labor - 1st Shift
Location: Charlotte, NC
- Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (or until production is complete)
- Pay: $20.86/hour

- The opportunity for colleagues to earn a higher hourly rate once they are fully trained on a specific position. When a colleague is assigned to and performs that job, they would be eligible to clock in at the higher rate for the time worked in that role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment according to work instructions, specifications, and safety standards.
- Perform production tasks while meeting quality, productivity, and efficiency expectations.
- Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring tools to verify quality standards.
- Accurately complete production logs, records, and documentation while reporting defects or quality concerns.
- Inspect equipment prior to operation and perform basic adjustments and routine maintenance as needed.
- Assist machine operators and support production activities throughout the facility.
- Move materials, clean work areas, and provide general plant support based on business needs.
- Manually load and unload drums inside trailers, including working in hot, non-climate-controlled environments.
- Remove drums from conveyor systems and safely stack them in trailers according to loading requirements.
- Perform repetitive physical activities including lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Cross-train in multiple departments to support team coverage and operational needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn multiple processes and work in various production areas.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions.

Compensation Range
The pay for this position is $20.86 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
