Autism Support Specialist 35-45/Hour

About The Role

- Our Autism Independence Program helps autistic teens and young adults apply skills learned through therapy and school into meaningful real-world independence.
- This is a unique opportunity to work directly in homes and community settings while helping clients build confidence, communication, self-regulation, and daily living skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support in homes and community environments
- Help clients develop independence and daily living skills
- Support emotional regulation and communication development
- Navigate behavioral challenges safely and respectfully
- Implement individualized support strategies
- Collaborate closely with families and leadership
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with autistic teens or adults
- Experience supporting moderate to high-support needs
- Experience managing aggression, severe emotional dysregulation, sensory overload, or challenging behaviors
- Crisis intervention training (CPI, PCM, QBS, Pro-ACT, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation
Compensation
- $35-$45/hour depending on experience
- Part-time to start
