Role Overview
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most influential franchises in U.S. capital markets. As SVP, Head of US Equities, you will hold full strategic and P&L ownership across Cboe's four U.S. equities exchanges — setting the vision, driving innovation, and shaping how some of the world's most active equities markets trade. You will report directly to a member of Cboe's Executive Leadership Team, with a mandate to build on Cboe's momentum as a top-tier global exchange operator.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs a combination of the following duties according to departmental guidelines
- Engage with buy and sell side clients, the Cboe sales force, and Cboe executive management to define, shape, and lead our strategy.
- Own the pricing strategy, exchange features, and overall business unit P&L across Cboe's four U.S. exchanges, including the ETP listings business.
- Implement both the short and long term strategic direction for a business line at the center of U.S. equities trading.
- Spend a significant amount of time with clients to generate ideas that add value to our partners’ businesses while generating growth for Cboe.
- Lead, develop, and inspire the US Equities team powering performance across four national exchanges
- Leverage personal and professional relationships to build business
- Represent Cboe as a thought leader at industry conferences and public speaking engagements alongside our most senior executives
Experience
- Minimum 15+ years’ industry experience in equities trading markets, 5+ years of exchange experience is preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Deep understanding of equities micro-market structure and experience interfacing with regulators.
- Advanced knowledge of laws, exchange rules and regulations as they apply to public companies and the financial industry.
- Advanced knowledge of – but not limited to - the equities market and overall market structure. Advanced knowledge of options and futures products is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and to interact with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate available data to make informed decisions appropriate for relevant businesses and the firm.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Intermediate level computer skills with MS Office Suite and other business related software.
- Attendance in a traditional office environment is required.
Education and Licenses
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Marketing, Business or related area

Salary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $340,000-$420,000 per year. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay target for new hires working in the position full time.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by actual work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, our total rewards program includes an annual variable pay program and benefits including healthcare (medical, dental and vision) , 401 (k) with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, paid time off, market-leading tuition assistance , and much more !
