Who we are looking for

We are looking for a n EM FX Trader to join a fast-paced , high-touch principal market making team. This is an intermediate-level seat for someone with trading experience who is ready to own risk, build a client franchise and grow into a broader role. The primary focus is Latin American emerging markets, with generalist FX and Interest Rate coverage across the wider book. We want someone passionate about markets , statistics and new technolog ies who wants to shape how the desk trades in the future.

What you will be responsible for

As AVP EM FX Trader you will

  • Price and manage FX and IR risk for a growing and diverse client base, focused on CLP, COP and PEN with generalist coverage across the broader EM and G10 franchise, as part of a regional and global team
  • Own a defined risk book and contribute directly to desk revenue, using macro views and technical skills to manage risk and maximize opportunities
  • Partner with Sales to grow and deepen the client franchise by understanding client objectives and delivering consistent pricing and liquidity
  • Engage directly with clients to provide market color, trader insight and post-trade follow-up
  • Partner with eFX Trading to deliver a consistent, improving product and to strengthen risk coordination between eFX and Voice Trading
  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance and desk management on limits, escalation and control adherence, upholding the highest standards of conduct

  • Market making experience in FICC, with a track record of managing risk and generating revenue

  • Strong technical background across data science, agentic coding and trading systems
  • Exceptional communication skills, an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work across Sales, Trading, Risk and Technology
  • A fast learner who is driven to improve how the desk works

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3-6 years in a trading role or in direct support of a trading desk, with EM FX exposure preferred
  • Programming and agentic coding experience strongly preferred

Additional requirements

  • Full time on-site presence on the trading floor, including early and extended hours to cover Latin American and global FX markets
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus but not required

Salary Range

$175,000 - $175,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
