Your Mission

The Litigation Paralegal is responsible for supporting litigation matters through document collection and organization, discovery support, litigation hold administration, case tracking, and preparation of legal documents and reports. In this role, you will work closely with in-house counsel and outside counsel on a variety of litigation and dispute-related matters. They will have responsibility for tracking deadlines and case activity, coordinating information requests, managing litigation-related data, and preparing reports for use by counsel and management. This position is empowered to propose, create, and develop efficiencies and/or improvements to litigation support processes and systems.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Conduct analysis and preparation for litigation to provide information and documents as needed
  • Liaise with counsel regarding various legal matters such as preparing letters and supporting documentation, tracking filings, and working with third party as necessary
  • Support litigation matters by maintaining case tracking, monitoring deadlines, organizing pleadings, managing discovery requests, tracking document productions, and following up on related action items
  • Assist with preparing, issuing, tracking, and maintaining litigation holds, including coordinating preservation efforts and follow-up with relevant business stakeholders
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and in-house counsel on litigation support activities, including gathering information, organizing materials, monitoring requests, and facilitating timely responses
  • Creates and/or recommends improvement upon systems that lead to an efficient process
  • Track legal documents and deadlines of such documents, agreements, and preparation of reports for use by management
  • Confirms all necessary legal steps are completed before proceeding and providing approval to move forward
  • Review and administer updates to company applications and databases which may include issuing new accounts, maintenance, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree or legal certification in related area. Equivalent work experience may be considered
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working in a legal environment or in-house legal department.
  • Investigative mind and can demonstrate strong research skills
  • Evidence of a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated written, oral, and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate technical legal data to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience in a position handling confidential information
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships

Where You'll Work

  • Works in a normal office environment where there is no discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
