Commercial Carpentry & Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Handy Man. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and electrical systems
• Supervise and coordinate the work of external contractors when necessary
• Fabricate and weld metal components as needed
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance issues
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Travel if needed to each our real estate

Skills

• Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices and procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and tenants
• Experience supervising and coordinating the work of external contractors
• Familiarity with logic controllers and other automated systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Ability to fabricate and weld metal components as needed
• Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues

Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
