Join our PPCF Technology team as a Senior Architect, Planning & Merchandising and serve as the primary technical lead for our enterprise Planning & Merchandising platform. You will own the architectural vision, design governance, and integration strategy across supply chain planning, merchandise financial planning, and data integration — collaborating with engineering teams, business planning and merchandising stakeholders, and implementation partners to deliver robust, scalable, well-governed solutions.

A day in the life of a Senior Architect...
- Contributes to the development and implementation of architectural vision, strategy, standards, policies, and best practices within a domain, business area, or platform, providing guidance and expertise to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Provides technical leadership and design guidance to development teams, assisting them in making architectural design decisions, and ensuring adherence to established standards and best practices
- Helps create proof-of-concepts for new systems / designs and works with teams integrating novel solutions into their domains
- Collaborates with other architects and teams to ensure alignment of architectural solutions within a domain, business area, or platform, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting knowledge sharing
- Designs and documents architectural solutions that meet business and technical requirements, including creating detailed diagrams, specifications, and other artifacts
- Participates in architectural design discussions and decisions, representing their program’s or team's architectural needs, and advocating for solutions that align with the overall architectural vision
- Drive the adoption of best practices in architecture, agile software engineering, and knowledge management, across the organization
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks and technical debt, ensuring the long-term health and sustainability of our systems
- Ensure that architectural designs meet non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability
- Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and technical standards
What you'll bring to the table...
- Knowledge of architectural governance processes, frameworks, and best practices
- Expertise in various software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles
- Ability to design and document comprehensive solution architectures
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages
- Understanding of the business domain and its technical implications
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly
We'd love to hear from you if you have...
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering or other area of technical expertise
- 5+ years of experience working in the Ecommerce space
- 3 years of architecture experience
