Shipping and distribution analyst

The Traffic Analyst is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting efficient logistics operations. This role involves managing inbound and outbound shipments, monitoring carrier performance, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

 

• Coordinate daily transportation activities, including scheduling and tracking shipments.
• Manage communication with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Ensure compliance with international and domestic transportation regulations, including customs requirements.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or issues.
• Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, bills of lading).
• Support bonded shipments and ensure proper handling and documentation.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and freight costs.
• Assist in carrier selection, rate negotiation, and performance evaluation.
• Maintain accurate records in transportation management systems (TMS/ERP).
• Collaborate with warehouse, planning, and procurement teams to ensure smooth logistics flow.

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or traffic operations.
• Knowledge of import/export processes, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
• Experience with bonded shipments and documentation is preferred.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting).
