We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in St Cloud MN. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, versatile, and proficient in a variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and more. This role demands efficiency, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including advanced plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, wall and trim repair, appliance maintenance, and general building maintenance.
  • Conduct routine and preventative inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from tenants in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses.
  • Communicate escalated maintenance issues to management.

Maintenance Technician Required Skills

  • Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Plumbing: Experience in plumbing.
  • Electrical: Adept experience in electrical systems (non-licensed tasks).
  • Carpentry: Proficient in door hanging (interior and exterior), flooring, trim, cabinets, drywall.
  • Appliance Repair: Experience in appliance replacements and repairs.
  • General Maintenance: Strong skills in various maintenance tasks including apartment turnovers, cleaning, painting, and yard work.
  • Safety: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.

Maintenance Technician Preferred Skills

  • Property Management Software: Familiarity with property management and job order software is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional property maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Physical agility to navigate stairs, ladders, and outdoor environments.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and equipment.
