About The Role
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (Engineering, Production, Quality) to understand  manufacturing process requirements
- Analyze and recommend application solutions to improve manufacturing workflows▪ Develop, customize, and maintain manufacturing-related software applications
- Ensure applications meet business needs and compliance
- Perform application testing and troubleshooting▪ Perform setup, configuration, and testing for MES project implementation, including optimization of Manufacturing application or ERP System
- Navigate and generate traceability reports using standard reporting tools.▪ Design and implement software modules tailored to manufacturing operations e.g. (including production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control)
- Integrate applications with manufacturing equipment and systems to optimize data flows and automation within the manufacturing process.▪ Provide application-related support to manufacturing end-users
- Conduct user training sessions and prepare documentation
- Handle user access and permissions within manufacturing applications
- Able to understand & follow escalation procedure▪ Manage databases related to manufacturing applications
- Monitor and maintain server performance and availability
- Support data backups, recovery, and security protocols▪ Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration
- Participate in application upgrades and deployment
- Stay updated on manufacturing IT trends and tools▪ Prepare and maintain detailed technical and user documentation
- Document application design, workflows, and updates
- Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or any related field.▪ 0 to 2 years of experience in software development, preferably in manufacturing, MES, or related industrial environments.
- Exposure to programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python, SQL or any low code development & automation through internships, projects, or academic coursework with experience involving coding,debugging, and testing software applications.▪ Participation in software development projects during academic studies, internships, or professional roles.
- Exposure to software development lifecycle (SDLC) / Software as a Service (SaaS) or any related processes including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
- Experience working with manufacturing or business process automation projects is advantageous.▪ Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and contribute actively within a team setting.▪ Exposure to working in multicultural teams or global project environments is beneficial but not required.
