We are seeking an experienced L3 Kubernetes/Container Architect to provide technical leadership for Kubernetes and container platform architecture. The role is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving enterprise container platforms, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with overall infrastructure and cloud architecture standards. As a senior technical authority, you will support complex escalations and define architectural best practices across the platform landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and govern Kubernetes cluster architectures and container platform standards.
- Define and maintain highly available and resilient Kubernetes control-plane architectures.
- Lead architecture decisions related to service mesh integration, storage integration, networking, security, and platform scalability.
- Establish operational patterns, governance frameworks, and best practices for containerized environments.
- Provide technical leadership for complex incidents, escalations, and platform challenges.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, reliability, and performance requirements are consistently met.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, networking, storage, and security teams to align container platforms with enterprise architecture objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the adoption of emerging cloud-native technologies.
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and operational guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience designing and operating enterprise Kubernetes and container platforms.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, container orchestration, platform security, networking, and storage integration.
- Experience with high-availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and resilience design principles.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, service meshes, observability, and platform governance.
- Proven ability to support complex technical escalations and provide architectural leadership.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- Cloud-native architecture certifications focused on Kubernetes design, resilience, and security
- Additional Security, Network, Storage, or Compute infrastructure certifications are advantageous
Language Requirement
- German language proficiency at minimum B2 level is mandatory.
- The role requires the ability to participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, incident coordination, service reviews, change management activities, and day-to-day communication with German-speaking stakeholders, customers, and operational teams.
Citizenship Requirement
- Applicants must hold Swiss citizenship.

- Candidates should be based in, or regularly available within the Winterthur region to support customer engagement, operational alignment, coordination with onsite and remote-hands teams, and participation in architecture, governance, escalation, and service review meetings as required.
