Position Overview

CARIAN is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support recruiting, new-hire onboarding, and day-to-day HR coordination.

This is an entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in building a career in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources. Previous recruiting or HR experience is not required.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support interview scheduling, candidate communication, recruiting-system administration, onboarding paperwork, new-hire packages, client-specific employment requirements, and other HR coordination activities. The successful candidate must be organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following up with candidates, employees, managers, and internal teams.

This is a full-time, fully on-site, non-exempt position based in CARIAN’s Somerset, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule interviews and coordinate calendars among candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and company leadership
  • Communicate interview details, next steps, and documentation requirements to candidates
  • Maintain job postings, candidate records, interview activity, and hiring status in the applicant tracking system
  • Support preparation and routing of offer letters, hiring approvals, and related documentation
  • Coordinate background checks, reference checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements
  • Prepare new-hire packages and collect completed onboarding paperwork
  • Enter and maintain new-hire information in recruiting and HR systems
  • Coordinate onboarding activities with HR, Payroll, IT, Office Operations, recruiters, and hiring managers
  • Assist with client-specific onboarding forms, badging requests, employee résumés, certifications, training records, and project requirements
  • Track outstanding forms, approvals, screenings, and onboarding requirements through completion
  • Maintain accurate and organized recruiting, onboarding, and employee records
  • Support career fairs, recruiting events, employee referrals, and university outreach
  • Assist the Human Resources team with document collection, employee communications, meeting coordination, training administration, and other HR activities as needed
  • Prepare New Hire Welcome Packages
  • Protect confidential candidate, employee, compensation, client, and company information
  • Perform other Talent Acquisition and Human Resources coordination duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules, documents, deadlines, and priorities
  • Strong follow-through and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to learn applicant tracking, HR, and client onboarding systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to work from the Somerset, NJ office Monday through Friday
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field

Compensation

The hourly compensation range for this role is $18–$20 per hour. This range represents a good-faith estimate at the time of posting; actual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and business needs. CARIAN offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, holidays, and 401(k) participation with company match. This position is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law and is not eligible for the Talent Acquisition commission or incentive plan.
