GLAS is seeking to appoint a Global Head of People to lead the day-to-day operation of the People function globally. Reporting directly to the Fractional CPO, this role acts as their operational right hand and is responsible for translating People strategy into disciplined execution across a regulated, international environment.

The Global Head of People will play a central role in building a modern, tech-enabled HR function, while shaping the culture, leadership and organisational capabilities required to support the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day leadership of the global People function, ensuring consistency, operational excellence and high-quality delivery across all regions.
  • Translate the People strategy into clear annual plans, budgets and measurable outcomes, ensuring disciplined execution and accountability.
  • Lead the global People team, setting standards, operating rhythms and performance expectations aligned to a high-growth, PE-backed environment.
  • Oversee regional People teams, ensuring alignment with global frameworks while maintaining strong local compliance and market relevance.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal and Operations on workforce planning, cost management, organisational design and people-related risk.
  • Ensure People policies, processes and systems are scalable, compliant and user-centred, supporting a regulated, international business.
  • Lead the operational evolution of HR technology, including the adoption of AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency, insight and improved employee experience.
  • Business partner executives and business leaders on organisational effectiveness, workforce matters and change initiatives.
  • Deputise for and support the Chief People Officer as required, acting as a key interface with senior stakeholders across the business.

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate

  • Senior HR leadership experience within an international, regulated environment.
  • Background in financial services, fintech or professional services.
  • Proven experience operating as part of a senior HR leadership team.
  • Strong people leadership capability, with experience managing global teams.
  • A track record of building robust, scalable HR operations in growing organisations.
  • High levels of HR technology literacy, with experience of HR transformation and process automation.
  • A hands-on, delivery-focused mindset, comfortable operating with lean teams and rolling sleeves up where required.
  • Experience in a private equity–backed environment is beneficial but not essential.
