Position Summary
HASI is currently seeking a real estate associate or senior associate to join our team in Annapolis, MD or New York, NY. This individual will work in the Data, Technology and Operations group supporting HASI’s land assets, which include solar and wind transactions. The focus of the role will be real estate asset management after transactions close, advancing both internal and third-party needs. Responsibilities include interpreting legal documents, evaluating transaction financials, supporting commercial decision-making, tracking deliverables, communicating with stakeholders, and managing related transaction workflows.
Responsibilities
Oversee the resolution of liens, tax obligations, insurance, and other asset-level matters in collaboration with clients, internal Legal, and outside counsel
Support third-party and internal real estate changes, including estoppels, easements, lot line adjustments, land use designations, and leases. Evaluate business needs, develop recommended solutions, and prepare the required internal documentation.
Manage client deliverables and ad hoc investor requests by tracking requirements, coordinating timely submissions, distributing documents to stakeholders, responding to asset-related questions, and providing follow-up communications, leading to item resolution and close-out.
Track project milestones, perform related record-keeping, maintain data rooms and internal systems, and provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders.

Education and Prior Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution.
- At least 3 years of experience in real estate asset management and/or real property or real estate law.
