About The Role

About Us

Established in 2013, we're a marketing, software development, and product support agency. We work with colleagues around the world to shake things up in one of the most exciting places on the internet today, the digital centre of sports, entertainment, and cryptocurrency.

The Role

We're looking for an Assistant Finance Manager who has strong technical accounting knowledge with the judgment to apply it critically - someone who questions and improves processes, not just replicates them. You'll be expected to understand the "why" behind processes and improve them where needed.

To Succeed In This Role, You'll Need

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university; CPA qualification required.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in financial and management accounting, including 1–2 years of public accounting experience.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel formulas.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to research and resolve accounting transactions and account balances with minimal direction.
  • A strong grasp of the "big picture" behind assigned tasks, with sound judgment around materiality.
  • Excellent self-review skills, catching errors before work is passed on to a manager.
  • Experience with Xero and AI tools such as Claude is a strong advantage.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Handling AP/AR, treasury, and cash flow management, including recording monthly non-standard journal entries in the general ledger.
  • Reviewing junior accountants' work, journal entries and reconciliations, and providing training and guidance.
  • Recording crypto transactions and preparing crypto trial balances.
  • Managing and reconciling intercompany transactions across global subsidiaries, including month-end eliminations and resolving currency discrepancies.
  • Preparing monthly consolidations and financial statements, and analyzing variances between actual and budgeted figures.
  • Ensuring compliance with HKFRS/IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements, and liaising with external auditors on the year-end audit process.
  • Preparing tax filings (e.g., profits tax) or coordinating with tax advisors.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Maintaining internal controls, driving process improvements.
  • Taking on ad hoc reporting and projects as assigned.

In Exchange, We Offer

  • A dynamic, collaborative, fun, yet challenging work environment.
  • Attractive salary and benefits.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • An office located in the heart of Central, Hong Kong.
  • A state-of-the-art entertainment floor, including a fully stocked bar and pantry, gaming consoles and a growing library.
  • A team of 100+ people globally, representing over 20 countries, we're multicultural and proud of it!
  • An onsite company gym and yoga studio with showers, changing rooms and free daily classes.
  • Expensed weekly team lunches and regular social events.
  • Company events, including Christmas and Summer parties and our much-loved beach BBQs.

Where You'll Work

  • This role is based in Hong Kong.
  • We can't wait to hear from you!
