About The Role
- The Program Analyst for the International Nuclear Safeguards Implementation,
- Treaties, and Evaluation (INSITE) program provides critical analytical and strategic support for the
- implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of international nuclear safeguards. In this role, you
- will lead the management and coordination of projects designed to strengthen the U.S. nuclear
- safeguards workforce while serving as a primary interface between national laboratories and
- subcontractors. Additionally, you will oversee financial stewardship for the INSITE portfolio and
- contribute to long-term strategic planning to ensure the effective execution of program objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analytical Safeguards Expertise: Provide analytical support to the INSITE
- program, focusing on the implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of
- international nuclear safeguards.
- Program Management & Coordination: Lead the coordination and management of
- safeguards programming, projects, and activities designed to strengthen the U.S.
- nuclear safeguards workforce.
- Interagency and Laboratory Interface: Serve as an interface with DOE/NNSA
- national laboratories and subcontractors, fostering collaborative relationships and
- ensuring effective project execution.
- Financial Stewardship: Oversee budget planning, development, execution, and
reporting for programs and projects within the INSITE portfolio.
- Strategic Support: Contribute to the development of strategic plans,
recommendations, and analytical guidance related to INSITE program.
- Adaptability: Execute other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and
responsiveness to evolving program needs and priorities
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Professional experience gained within a DOE/NNSA national laboratory
setting, specifically supporting international nuclear safeguards projects and programs.
- Education: Bachelors Degree with minimum 4 years relevant experience
- Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Q-clearance.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of IAEA safeguards concepts and approaches.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a
- proven ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively to
- varying audiences, including leadership and laboratory partners.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
develop sound recommendations.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Social Sciences,
Political Science).
- Experience with programs under the Office of Nonproliferation and Arms Control related
to nuclear nonproliferation and international nuclear safeguards.
- Familiarity with nuclear fuel cycle technologies and their implications for safeguards.
